Beer and Bourbon Night @ Swingbellys Beachside BBQ

So on December 9th, Swingbelly’s is having their newly created once monthly Beer and Bourbon Tasting starting at 7:30 thru 10:30.

“..it consists of five courses that are BBQ influenced but not our regular menu… something like if Backyard BBQ and Fine Dining had a love child… Each course is then paired with a Beer and a Bourbon that will showcase the flavors in each dish…”

I attended the first one in October, and it was phenomenal.  They had The Smuttynose representative there, talking about the different beers that they paired with the dish, as well as a different bourbon which was poured alongside.  The menu was written by Chef Alexis Trolf, who has worked at other area restaurants, most recently The Coyote in Island Park, where he his menu this past summer was received with rave reviews.  The inventiveness and thought that went into each ingredient was apparent, and the execution perfect.  You did not realize that your salad should have hints of coffee until it is in your mouth, and you wonder why it never had before.  If I can get my hands on the menu for Dec. 9th’s tasting in between now and then I will post it, as well as any additional info I can gather.

Remember, reservations are required, and I would try and get them NOW, as these things have been filling up quick.
